Spread some Christmas joy!

The secret of giving

Let’s be honest: Who would not be delighted to receive a gift? Yet, every year around Christmas the same old question pops up – choosing the right presents. Why is it still so popular in this day and age?

Why do people give presents to each other? The simple answer is that giving is a truly human gesture. Whoever gives something to someone, is thinking of him or her. A present shows consideration, compassion and appreciation, sometimes love, entirely and without expecting something in return. The recipient of your present knows this and giving something selflessly has the benefit of making you feel happy in return.

A gesture of potted happiness
Some of the most natural presents are flowers, as a gesture of congratulation, to say “thank-you!” or “get-well-soon”, as well as just a little gift in-between. The loveliest gift of flowers during the winter months is the poinsettia, as a gift to yourself or to someone you love, plain or set into an elegant plant pot, wrapped or decorated: With their graceful star-shaped foliage and vigorous colours, poinsettias bring joy, brightness, and energy to those dark winter months. When the trees outside are shedding their leaves and the gardens are stark and bare, a colourful poinsettia brightens up your life. Still a favourite is the red classic, but also the cream, salmon pink or rosé variety is always a welcome gift. They come in a wide colour range and in a number of different shapes, sizes and decoration options, which will make it easy to create a very special gift.

A little something for a nice neighbour, a “thank-you” for an invitation or a nice desk decoration for your colleague: Every poinsettia will give away a little happiness, optimism and joy.
